Preserving a historic building
This old school building was built in a Neo-Georgian style with decorative brickwork, hexagonal towers, steep slate roofs and large single-glazed timber windows that had badly degraded.
As a non-designated heritage asset, replacement windows had to be sympathetic to the surrounding conservation area. Allan Brothers’ made-to-measure hardwood casement windows and special circular windows were close to the style of the originals whilst offering modern levels of energy efficiency and low maintenance.
