Allan Brothers’ new made-to-measure Dual Turn Window has been carefully designed to offer you the best of both worlds.
From the exterior, it looks just like the classic timber sliding sash window of yesteryear with traditional sightlines, narrow profiles, and a setback lower sash. Decorative horns, ovolo mouldings on the inside, and the option of fine 22mm glazing bars further add to its olde world appearance.

The classic appearance and versatility of this style of window makes it an excellent replacement for old sash windows, particularly in the upper storeys of homes or in high rise apartments where a high level of performance is required whilst maintaining a very traditional looking facade.

The Dual Turn window design guarantees superior weather resistance and excellent thermal and acoustic efficiency. The product is PAS24 tested and has Secured by Design’ status, an official police security accreditation given to products that help protect homes from intrusion.

Opening Function

The functionality of the Dual Turn Window allows both sashes to open outwards and then reverse fully for convenient cleaning from inside the property. Special egress hardware can also be added, enabling the bottom sash to open fully into the room as a safe and easy means of fire escape.

For reasons of either privacy or style our patterned glass provides a range of attractive options. From classic to contemporary we offer a textured glass to suit most requirements you may have.

Bars

Developed to achieve a minimum of heat loss, our dual turn windows are double-glazed with a spacer bar located between the two panes. A bar profile is then bonded to both sides of the window.

Glazing beads and the 22 mm bar profile are made from a timber composite material, which offers the natural appearance and look of timber whilst remaining stable and rot free.
