This 1930s bungalow has been transformed into a light, airy, open-plan eco-home with a roomy extension

The owners were attracted to the excellent thermal efficiency and durability of Allan Brothers’ Alu Clad casement windows and French doors, which have timber on the inside and weather-resistant aluminium cladding on the outside.

Their black finish added individuality and contrast to the free-flowing design and the large French doors maximised views of the garden.
