Fasteners
As standard, one brass non-locking fitch fastener is fitted to the meeting rails and two brass hook lifts to the lower sash rail. On request, most other recognised fittings can be provided.
Pulleys
Brass wheel pulleys with mirror finish polished brass face plates are fitted as standard. Ball bearing pulleys with mirror finished polished brass faceplates, for a smoother vertically sliding action on larger sashes, are available on request.
Security devices
Can be fitted if required and, as a minimum, we recommend one face fixed ‘sash lock’ and strike plate fitted with detachable key. Optionally, for improved security, two such devices can be fitted, whilst most other available patterns can also be supplied and fitted on request.
‘Cleaning Facilities’
Special ironmongery can be fitted to cord and weight windows to allow safe cleaning of the sash window from inside the building. When asked to fit such ironmongery, we provide batten rods that are completely detachable, by means of two thumb screws, on the opening side. Alternatively, if required, the batten rods can be hinged.
