Door Specification
Our stylish, high-performance Scotdoor range combines tried and tested Scandinavian technology with traditional British craftsmanship to deliver exceptional weather performance, durability and a high level of security.
Supplied as a fully assembled unit, including ironmongery and glazing, the Scotdoor system can is quick and easy to install. Inward opening doors are supplied as standard, however outward opening options are also available on request.
Performance
Our Scotdoors are independently tested and approved to PAS 23 & PAS 24 and achieve the following classifications:
- Air Permeability: 600Pa
- Water Tightness: 200Pa
- Wind Resistance: 2,400Pa
Sizes
Single leaf doors can be accommodated between the following overall frame sizes:
Width
800mm(min) - 1,025mm(max)
Height
2000mm(min) - 2,180mm(max)
A standard size of 950 x 2,100mm is used for new build properties.
When combined with our sidelight options, which range from 300 - 600mm in width, we can produce a solution to suit almost any existing door opening. Please contact us for more details.
Construction
To complement the excellent insulation qualities of the doors, 24mm units are used to glaze both doors and sidelights. Obscure glazing is supplied as standard but clear glass is also an option along with a range of special glazing, including Low E, antisun, decorative screenprinted and luxury leaded glass.
Security
Rebated doors and frames, integral draught stripping and purpose designed weather bar, means that our doors can cope the toughest weather conditions without compromising on style or security.

Finish
Finish
Our high-tech, water-based coatings are carefully formulated to seal the timber against moisture ingress, inhibit tannin stain and provide a high quality finish. All doors are supplied fully factory finished unless otherwise requested.

Ironmongery
Brassed handles and a three-point locking system are fitted as standard. Alternative styles, finishes, letterboxes, door viewers and security chains are available on request.
Colours
These are our standard colours, however we can provide your windows and doors in any RAL colour.
Glazing
Door
The door has a bonded sandwich construction providing a high degree of stability, with aluminium plates acting as an effective moisture barrier. The insulating core gives an exceptional U-value as low as 1.2. This significantly reduces the effects of temperature differential, which is the most common cause of door failure.
Frame
Constructed from high-performance redwood as standard. Hardwood options are also available on request. All frames have a low level threshold, which can provide wheelchair access. Alternatively a hardwood sub sole can be provided.
