Allan Brothers offers products which have been rigorously tested to the latest British and European standards to withstand the tough British climate. Additional security features meet Secured by Design standards.

When it comes to thermal efficiency, our windows and doors are able to surpass UK Building Regulations with U-values or BFRC Window Energy Ratings far better than the present requirements, guaranteeing lower heating costs and improved comfort.

A window’s thermal efficiency is now a key part of reducing any home’s overall energy needs, meeting building regulations and complying with the Code for Sustainable Homes.

If you have particularly challenging requirements we can provide windows with even higher performance capabilities to meet 21st century demands. Whether it’s for SBD (Secured by Design), noise reduction, zero carbon housing or other requirements, we have a solution to help you achieve your goals.

Our products are manufactured under third party accredited performance schemes such as BM TRADA Q-Mark which gives our customers the reassurance of knowing our windows have been thoroughly assessed and accredited by independent window specialists. It also guarantees our products conform to all the relevant British Standards

Our windows carry a Window Energy Rating (WER) through British Fenestration Ratings Council so you can easily identify how they perform.

All houses which are sold or rented must now have an Energy Performance Certificate. This rating system is widely used across a number of household goods and is also featured as an Energy Performance Certificate within the Home Information Pack (HIP). In addition all new houses must have a Code for Sustainable Homes certificate.

Long term value

Our timber windows and doors are an investment that can last a lifetime - that is why all our products are factory finished as standard.

The modern treatments and coatings we use extend the product’s lifetime, improve appearance and minimise maintenance - an essential consideration when lifetime cost is increasingly important.

The 3 layer paint finish is applied by an advanced automatic paint spray system to ensure optimum and uniform film thickness of environmentally friendly water based paint. This microporous finish allows timber to breathe and the natural beauty of the timber to shine through, retaining its original appearance for many years, whatever the weather.

Because of this level of design, specification and controlled conditions of manufacture, Allan Brothers’ fully factory finished timber windows and doors have a life expectancy of 30 years. We can offer extensive service life and paint/stain warranties.

What’s more, maintenance and repair of timber windows and doors is both cost-effective and easy. As they are made from high quality timber they only need to be cleaned regularly and repainted as required to look as good as new.

If damage occurs to a timber window or door it can be easily restored leaving no sign of the repair. It is not surprising therefore that timber is increasingly seen as the material of choice for long-term value.
