Sustainable
We only use sustainable timber sourced from managed FSC-certified forests in Sweden. Our windows also rate 'A' in the BRE Green Guide for sustainability and are 'carbon negative, which means that they absorb more Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere than they produce.
We also have Chain of Custody accreditation from the FSC for our sustainably sourced timber. This means that we can trace every piece of timber we use, from harvesting right through to manufacture.
Style & finish
Frames are designed to be windproof and watertight under even the most extreme British weather conditions. Our products are covered by a 10-year manufacturing warranty.
Service life
We use K-Glass from Pilkington, which means that our standard glazing units surpass all current UK Building Regulations and are BFRC 'A' Energy Rated. Our triple glazed and Argon-filled units provide U Values as low as 0.1. All Allan Brothers windows come with a 10-year Glazing Failure warranty.
Energy efficiency
The low thermal conductivity of wood helps minimize 'cold-bridging' or heat transfer. Our factory fitted double glazing is 'A' rated for energy efficiency and we also offer triple glazing options to meet more challenging requirements with U-Values as low as 1.0W/m2K.
Value
Surprisingly, our high performance timber windows cost very little more than their plastic alternatives. And, because they can be maintained, and are fully repairable they are actually far less expensive over their lifetime.
